Alan received the 2017 UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine Award for Excellence in Education, for his efforts to bring ultrasound education to the medical school at both the UME and GME levels. The award recognizes “outstanding dedication, innovation, and sustained excellence in clinical and classroom teaching.” For this reason, this award also recognizes the outstanding contributions of the ultrasound faculty and residents that have tirelessly lent their efforts to create educational content, teach, and mentor.
