This book was co-edited by Alan Chiem and Vi Dinh (Loma Linda), who are both passionate about POCUS education and scholarship. We organized a multi-specialty team of over 70 POCUS experts from fields like cardiology, radiology, emergency medicine, critical care, pediatrics and hospital medicine. These experts come from over 20 world-renowned institutions, including UCLA, Loma Linda, Stanford, Highland/UCSF, UC Irvine, Yale, Harvard, Dartmouth, and Ohio State. The book is organized into 18 chapters, following the consensus POCUS fellowship curriculum published by Lewiss et al in 2014. The content was specifically developed to prepare for the ABEM Advanced Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Board Exam as well as the NBE Critical Care Echocardiography Board Exam.
