We have a lot of exciting news to share. Ricky Amii, MD, our first fellow, has accepted a full-time position at Olive View-UCLA, where he will continue to do great things with ultrasound. Our new fellows, Stephanie Tseeng, MD, and Pablo Aguilera, MD, have made easy transitions to our program and are becoming (or continue to be) rock stars in their own right. We continue to steamroll ahead in our third year of medical student ultrasound education, with popular 1st year labs and a 4th year elective, and recently, formal approval to integrate US in the UCLA medical school curriculum in all four years. In research, we completed a fluid responsiveness trial on healthy volunteers, and are continuing work in that area as well acute heart failure, cholecystitis, and medical education. It is an exciting time to be a part of Team UCLA/OV Emergency Ultrasound!  |
